The Clayton Mohr Commons provides 24 affordable apartments for veterans and their families. The apartments consist of studios, one-bedroom units and 2-bedroom units. KASA architects completed the new 2-story structure as part of a design-build team with Walsh Construction. Approval for the project included a Type II Design Review that went before the Planning Commission. The building had to be carefully sited in order to preserve a heritage white oak tree, minimize grading across the steep site, and accommodate 20 parking spaces. Building amenities include a community room, laundry room, and leasing office. Site amenities include a community patio and nature play.
