KASA architects has recently completed the renovation of the Tamarack Apartments which is composed of 120 apartment units located in 13 two-story wood-framed buildings. The apartments consist of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units. Improvements to the exterior of the buildings included the replacement of roofing, siding, and windows; waterproofing landings and balconies; and replacement of building-mounted lighting, signage, and security cameras. Interior work included the replacement of kitchens and bathrooms, flooring, interior doors, plumbing systems, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
A central laundry building was converted into an office and the storage rooms in each apartment building were converted to laundry rooms. A new single-story wood-framed community building was constructed adjacent to the office building, and the area in front of these buildings was renovated to create a new community space with a playground and barbeque area.
